i can hardly remember the last time i’ve written. why is it that i’ve been starving my heart of the things that make it come alive? love, Jesus, relationships, writing, people. on a very personal level, i’m learning how tragic the loss can be when one plays it too safe, when one refuses to take risks, when one does not allow their soul the beauty of loving and being loved. how tragic the loss when one does not use the voice they have been given. you must speak up now while you do have a voice - you must. how tragic the loss when we overlook certain individuals, assuming they will never play a large role in our life, when in fact, those very individuals we overlook somehow find a way into our lives and now we can never imagine our lives without them. it is time for a change and it is time to grow up. it is time to once again become the girl who loved extravagantly with no fear of her heart becoming broken. who lived so fearlessly with purpose and intention. where Jesus and the people He gave her were her reason for breathing.
i guess what i’m saying is that it is time to start enjoying your life - to really fall in love with it. it is time to speak up. it is time to give your heart a break. it is time to shock people - to be daring and different. it’s time to speak love, encouragement, and life into people’s lives. it’s time to start loving them through their brokenness instead of judging them for the choices they’ve made. be reminded in the midst of your uncertainty that the Lord has gone before you. know that you deserve to be taken care of. know that you are held. know that you deserve a life that you would never dream you are worthy of. know that oftentimes, loneliness is God’s call to intimacy. know that you are fully loved and accepted. know that you are wonderfully beautiful and getting better. know that you are a living, breathing, glorious, and unashamed second chance.
grace is the word that is continually running through my head tonight. because without grace, i don’t deserve to be breathing.
My princess,
you are My precious daughter, and now that My spirit lives within you, I long to teach you about who you are. let Me start by defining who you are not, My love. you are not a slave to sin any longer. you are no longer under Satan’s power. you are not even your own because I bought you with My life.
as your Father, I’m asking you to set a higher standard for yourself. let go of the old habits that are holding you back from becoming the new you. I can’t take you to the next level of your faith until you’re willing to receive My instruction. just as I asked abraham to leave his comfort zone and go to unfamiliar territory, i am leading you away from your former life. and then I invite you to enter into My presence and receive My power to transform your life.
